We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them. ALBERT EINSTEIN • We have 50 to 60,000 thoughts a day and over 95% of those thoughts where the same thoughts we had yesterday. Furthermore, 70 to 80% of those thoughts are negative. I don’t know how many thoughts you have during a round of golf, but I’m certain they don’t change much. And I can guarantee the great majority of those thoughts are negative. This is why you keep shooting the same scores – regardless of how much you practice or play. • Jack Nicklaus was an exceptional putter and very long off the tee; but he said that of all his scoring weapons, his strongest was his mind – what and how he thought about the game. Tiger Woods also credits his success not to his immense physical talent, but to his creative mind. • Regardless of your level of play, if you want to score better you have to think better . There is no other way; the same thoughts on the golf course will always produce the same scores.
